Virgin River Team Breaks Down 7 Finale Cliffhangers, Teases Possible Season 4
When Virgin River favorite show host, Sue Tenney, interviewed for the first time in Season 3 with Netflix, she promised the last "detective". As it turns out, that was an understatement.
Between a mountain climb, a father figure, an amazing visitor, the arrest of a potential shooter and the end of a beloved character hanging in balance, this sounded like the last to finish all the vegetables. And we didn’t even write all the game changes of the episode!
Instead of trying to figure it all out on our own, we decided to hit some of the key players in the game - including Tenney, along with actors Alexandra Breckenridge (Mel) and Benjamin Hollingsworth (Brady) - to get their thoughts on the moments we would take until Netflix blessed us for the fourth season. (Full disclosure: We've run out of time before discussing this situation with Connie and Ecclesiastes, so we'll have to keep a prayer limit for both of them.)
Scroll down to read the Virgin River team's take on another great event in the end, and drop a comment about your potential Season 4 prospects.
Let’s start with the event we’ve been waiting for since( Virgin River) Day 1: In the final minutes of episode 10, Jack finally got down on one knee and lifted up!
"My first response would be to say yes," Breckenridge said, although he admitted that Mel was still skeptical. I mean you just broke up with him a few weeks ago! ”
Once again, the twisting intensified when Mel responded with a bomb to destroy all the bombs.
That's right folks, Mel is pregnant… and she doesn't know if the baby is Jack's or Mark's! And if you are hoping for a quick response, be prepared for disappointment.
As for Dad’s dad, Tenney says, “You’ll get to the end of the fourth season,” if the game can be revived by Netflix. In other words, be prepared to wait. (While we wait, let's talk about this: Whose child do you think it is? And who do you hope it belongs to? I'll see you in the comments section!)
Currently in pre-production construction, Virgin River has been quietly renovated earlier this year according to many production sites. Now we know when the series production process will take place.
We see from many production sources that the current scheduled start of production is July 28, 2021 with a recording that will take place on November 30, 2021.
The show is expected to take place in Vancouver, Canada. Another recording took place in Squamish in B.C. Other recordings take place in places like Snug Cove, New Westminster, Squamish, Agassiz, and Port Coquitlam.
Of course, it is important to note that in times of COVID-19 (and generally of that issue) that production schedules are not set in stone and may be remedied.
As we said Sue Tenney will remain as the showrunner for Virgin River season 4.
What does this mean for the release date of season 4 of Virgin River? Yes, with the product wrapped up in late November, we can easily see the series coming back to summer in 2022 or maybe soon. We are expecting season 2 of the Sweet Magnolias in early 2022 so our best guess is still summer.
As we have said before, this is not the first time that Virgin River has been revived earlier. The show was revived at the start of both the 2nd and third season seasons with the first recording before or shortly after the fall of their previous seasons. It shows a lot of confidence in the show which is very rare in Netflix shows. Traditionally, you have to wait a month or two after being released before a decision will be made in the future.
We will have a full preview of season 4 over the weekend after the fall of season 3 but until then, we hope that the season 4 news that starts production gives you a lot to enjoy.
